Minesweeper

Welcome to the Minesweeper, a popular addictive game for players from all ages! Remove "mines" or "bombs" from a rectangular board without setting them off. That is to say, you should strive to free everyone from the cells that haven't been rigged with explosives. A quick loss awaits you if you choose a mined area. If there are no mines to reveal, a number will be shown in the square to indicate how many squares to the left and right of the mined one contain mines. If there are no mines to reveal, the square will be empty, and all squares to the left and right of the mined one will be revealed in a recursive fashion. With this knowledge, the player may safely unveil each square or designate it as harboring a mine, inferring the contents of the other squares in the process. As a result of the game's ability to generate both excitement and inhibition, as well as a desire to conquer, players will be compelled to keep trying until they eventually succeed. Put your skills to the test as you attempt to make your way through ever more difficult stages of the campaign.

In Minesweeper, you may choose from three difficulty levels

  • Easy (beginner): A total of 10 mines are dispersed throughout an 8x8 (or 9x9 in Windows XP and later) grid.
  • Mediate: Forty mines are put out on a 16-by-16 board
  • Difficult (expert): a 30-by-16-inch board with 99 hidden mines

Also, players can change the size of the board and the number of playable pieces to their liking in the game's settings menu.
